Prasat Muang Khaek

Prasat Muang Khaek

We had long neglected the three temples north of Sung Ngoen in Khorat because we were either on the way to or on the way back from a long trip. When we visited them in May 2008 we were actually surprised about the size and how clean the whole area was kept. Prasat Muang Khaek was built in the 10th century A.D.  All that remains today from the once impressive site are the door frames, the bases and walls from the buildings. Reason for this is that most of the buildings were made of brick, which has been gone over the years. But it is still an impressive site.
