Prasat Phum Phon
Prasat Phum Phon in Surin province was also very difficult to find. We had to ask several times and finally found the picturesque site. One remaining tower stands on a large grassy field lined by palm trees. Another platform it only a door frame is located to the north of it. It is a Hindu temple which dates to the 7th Century A.D. There is another laterite stone ruin close by and another brick ruin further to the north. Prasat Phum Phon is one of the oldest Khmer sites in Thailand and is now located in a small traditional village.
